¤ The garden is a heavenly place which means like a miracle where we can enjoy the beauty of nature and the grace of God.


HEDGES


¤ Shrubs or trees are planted at regular intervals to form a continuous screen called a Hedge.


Hedges are made with the following objective: -


1. Protection: - serves to protect the area from livestock and wild animals.

2.  Demarcation: - can be used to delimit one area from another.

3.  Projection: A high hedge is used to slightly project and object and maintain the privacy of the personal garden.

4.  Ornament: - very well cared for and enhanced the beauty of the garden, as well as the aesthetic value of the place.

EDGE


¤ The lining of the border of flower beds, part of the lawn and shrubs, with bricks, concrete, live plants, etc., is known as the border.

Edges can be formal, made of a stone, brick, tile, etc. or informal consisting of a living plant.


FORMAL EDGES


¤ All conventional English gardens had aged bricks or tiles laid diagonally along the path and flower beds. But in recent years the trend has changed and with it the fashion of the skirting board of everything and more has waned. It is desirable that the hem practice is not used frequently, but at the same time it should be used unnecessarily.


¤ The materials used for formal aging are the following: -

INFORMAL EDGE


Lawn Edging: - People who don't like the easy lure as mentioned above can use live plants as aging in some places.

The lawn edge, a strip of grass, is a very attractive edge, especially in front of flower beds.

a The edges of the grass must not be less than 60 cm wide, otherwise the mower cannot be operated. Whenever a glass edging is used, it must be properly maintained.


OTHER INFORMAL EDGES

FLOWER BEDS AND BORDER


¤ Annual and herbaceous perennials are grown in flower beds to provide a mass effect of different colors.
¤ The edges are continuous beds that are longer than wide and contain plants of a single type.

PATH

¤ A garden path should never be less than 60 cm wide, but preferably 90 and 120 cm wide if sufficient space is available.
¤ A four-wheeled wheelbarrow with a large free space allows easy passage and other garden tools will at some point partially enter the path if the path is narrow, the path will be obstructed.
¤ It won't be easy for the garden lover to cut a beautiful plant, so it will be more prudent to have a wide path.
¤ The path must not be too high or too low in relation to adjacent land, except in a road mass or in a garden.
■ The material used for the garden plant is gravel, brick paving and crazy paving.

GARDEN UNIT

■ The main criterion of a good path or path through the garden is to provide a flat, dry and pleasant passage for the person or vehicle and must harmonize with the rest of the garden features.

FENCING

GARDEN WALL

¤ Alternatively, depending on the parent of the garden, 1.8 m walls can also be erected.
¤ To break the monotony of a concrete or brick wall, vines such as Ficus repens can grow on the wall at least in the most prominent places.

CARPET BEDS

¤ The art of growing ground cover plants close together and cutting them with a Carpet Beds pattern or alphabet letters is called Carpet Beds.
¤ Colored foliage as border plants is more suitable for this purpose. (for example) Alternenthera.

Pergola

¤ A gazebo is a shelter in a garden made up of trees and shrubs that grow up to partially surround it.

OR,

¤ A shady place to sit, usually in a park or garden and usually surrounded by bushes or vines and other vegetation.

PATIO

¤ Patios are paved areas in a garden where people can sit down to eat or relax.
¤ The paved patio enlarges the house. The flooring can be made with concrete, brick, stone, tile or wood. When planning a paved area, adequate drainage is essential. Standard concrete floors are square, round or rectangular and in gray, light green, brick pink.
¤ Brick works well in formal and rustic settings. However, the stone floor is more resistant and offers the warmth of a completely natural material.

¤ There is a wide range of garden patio and paving materials to choose from, including natural stone, block paving. Indian Sandstone, York Sone, Brick Paving, Concrete Slabs / Tiles, Pavers / Cubes, Pavers, Permeable Pavers, Grass Pavers and Slate.
