CLIMATE AND SOIL

♢ Does not require a specific climate and can appear even in dry weather.

♢ Grows best in well-drained soils in areas with full sun or partial shade, preferably sheltered from the wind.

♢ In places where the minimum temperature drops below 13 degrees Celsius, sprout growth will be slightly affected.

♢ Although it can be grown in most soil types, it works well in slightly textured red soils.

VARIETY

♢ A variety of names are not available and farmers prepare local varieties with pink midrib.

♢ The University of Agricultural Sciences, David recently released the cultivation of DWD - 1 and DWD - 2 WHICH HAVE AN OIL CONTENT OF 5.22 AND 4.09% RESPECTIVELY.

♢ BOTH VARIETIES HAVE A STRONG SCENT.

FIELD PREPARATION AND SOWING

♢ The main course must be drawn repeatedly, normally a space of 90 to 120cm is followed on each side.

♢ One month before sowing, pieces of 30 x 30 x 30 are dug up and filled with soil mixed with well-decomposed garden manure at the time of sowing.

♢ Healthy seedlings are planted in the center of the holes.

♢ Long furrows are then formed connecting all the tips to facilitate irrigation.

♢ The seedlings are watered once every 527 days of 2-3 years and thereafter once every 15 days.

The seeds must be ripe and fresh to be planted; dried or wrinkled fruits are not viable. Any fruit can be planted, but it is best to remove the pulp before planting in potting soil that remains moist but not wet. The cuttings can also be used for propagation.

♢ Being a perennial crop, the field must be kept free from weeds, normally farmers do not fertilize the plants with curry leaves from organic sources, however, for better growth and yield, each plant can be fertilized with 20 kg of menu of vegetable garden, plus 150: 20: 50 grams of NPK per year.

HARVEST AND YIELD

♢ THE IMPLANT CAN BE TRAINED AND DEMONSTRATED TO MAINTAIN A BUSHING 1.0 METER HEIGHT.

AT THE END OF THE 1st YEAR THE CULTURE REACHES THE FIRST HARVEST.

BELOW IS THE EXPECTED PERFORMANCE OF ONE HECTARE:

♢ The plantation can be kept for 20 to 25 years depending on the management practices followed.

PROTECTION PLAN

1. Aphids attack the plant when the plant is in the vegetative phase and a dimethoate source at the rate of 2 ml per liter of water is recommended. The leaves of such a spray plant should not be harvested for at least 10 days of residual and pesticide toxicity.

2. Leaf spots sometimes occur and it is recommended to spray carbendazim at the rate of 1 gram per liter.
